About The People's Pantry
Our Story
Welcome to The People's Pantry, a community-driven initiative dedicated to combating food insecurity in Asbury Park, NJ. Founded by Heather Egan, The People's Pantry operates as a pop-up food pantry on the first and third Tuesdays of every month, providing essential support to those in need.
Our pantry is located at 1143 Asbury Ave, Asbury Park, NJ, and has been proudly serving the community since August 2020. With the help of generous donations from the public, state and local grants, contributions from a larger food bank, and support from a chain supermarket grocer, we are able to provide vital resources to over 300 patrons each month.
At The People's Pantry, we are committed to fostering a sense of community and ensuring that everyone has access to nutritious food. Join us in making a difference by donating, volunteering, or spreading the word about our efforts.
